Overview
- Organizers open the second San Diego Comic‑Con Málaga at FYCMA this week with a program that spans more than 300 hours across film, TV, comics, manga, anime, games, tabletop play and cosplay.
- The venue has been enlarged to roughly 90,000 square metres with bigger exhibition halls, new activity spaces and an expanded Artist’s Alley hosting over 90 creators.
- A roster of international guests will include film and TV names such as Karl Urban, Aya Cash, Paul Bettany, Elijah Wood and Sean Astin alongside anime auteurs, game developers and top comic artists.
- The Junta de Andalucía, the Ayuntamiento de Málaga and the Agencia Digital de Andalucía are official supporters of the fair, which organizers say aims to draw thousands of visitors and boost local tourism and the creative economy.
- This second edition builds on last year’s launch by broadening industry and fan programming and seeks to consolidate San Diego Comic‑Con Málaga as the brand’s principal European showcase.
