Samurai Pizza Cats Video Game Announced for 2026 Release

The cult classic '90s anime returns as a 2D action RPG with original voice cast and nostalgic art style.

Samurai Pizza Cats: Blast from the Past is being developed by Dutch studio BLAST ZERO and published by Red Dunes Games.
The game is a 2D action RPG featuring hand-drawn, cel-shaded art inspired by the original animated series.
Players can switch between the three main characters—Speedy Cerviche, Polly Esther, and Guido Anchovy—to solve puzzles and battle enemies in Little Tokyo.
Both the English and Japanese voice casts from the original anime are returning for the game, including Rick Jones and Kappei Yamaguchi.
The game is set to release in 2026 on all major platforms, with Steam and Epic Games wishlisting available now.
