Samsung’s November Security Patch Expands to S-Series, Foldables and Tablets, Now Including Fold/Flip 5
The security-only release began in South Korea and brings around three dozen Android, One UI and Exynos fixes as availability widens in a staged rollout.
Overview
- Samsung has started delivering the update to the 2023 Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 in South Korea with firmware F946NKSS5FYK3 and F731NKSS5FYK3, respectively.
- The patch previously reached the Galaxy S23, S24 and S25 lineups, with outlets noting about 34 fixes from Google and Samsung plus additional Exynos-specific patches and no new features.
- Current-generation and 2024 foldables (Z Fold 7/Flip 7 and Z Fold 6/Flip 6) are receiving builds reported around 350MB–450MB in size as the rollout continues beyond Korea.
- Flagship tablets Galaxy Tab S11 and S11 Ultra are getting firmware X730XXS3AYJ3 and X930XXS3AYJ3, while the Galaxy A54 update began in the U.S. for unlocked units (A546U1UESGEYK2).
- The Galaxy S22 series is reported to be updating in India (S901EXXSCGYK2, S906EXXSCGYK2, S908EXXSCGYK2), and users are advised to check Settings > Software update as carrier and regional releases follow in stages.
