Samsung’s January 2026 Security Patch Reaches Galaxy Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7 and TriFold, Now Rolling Out to S25 Series

The release packs 55 security fixes with one critical item, beginning in Korea before reaching more regions.

  • The Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 updates are live in South Korea with firmware builds F966NKSS7AYLT and F766NKSS7AYLT.
  • Samsung says the package includes 55 fixes sourced from Google (23, with two not applicable to Samsung), Samsung Semiconductor (4) and Samsung Mobile (30).
  • Risk ratings for the patches include one critical vulnerability, 28 high-risk items and three moderate issues.
  • Samsung also pushed firmware F968NKSS2AZA1 to the Galaxy Z TriFold, a roughly 540MB download that applies the January 2026 patch to the One UI 8.0 device.
  • The Galaxy S25 lineup has started receiving the January update in Korea with firmware ending in BYLR, with wider distribution to follow in stages that users can check via Settings > Software update > Download and install.
