Samsung Widens One UI 8 Rollout: Watch 7 Reaches U.S., S22 Updates Restart for Two Models

U.S. availability begins for Galaxy Watch 7; S22 Ultra remains paused.

Overview

  • Samsung's One UI 8 Watch based on Wear OS 6 is now live for Galaxy Watch 7 in Korea and has begun reaching U.S. users, with Verizon confirming releases for the 40mm and 44mm LTE models.
  • The Watch 7 update is roughly 160MB for beta users and about 2GB for others, and it adds Now Bar, a refreshed interface, and health features including Antioxidant Index, Bedtime Guidance, Running Coach, and Vascular Load.
  • After briefly pulling firmware, Samsung has resumed One UI 8 (Android 16) for the Galaxy S22 and S22+, while the S22 Ultra rollout has not yet restarted.
  • Phone updates expanded across regions: A33 and A53 (Korea), A35 and A54 (India), M34 and M35 (India), XCover 7 Pro (Korea), M15/M53 as Wide 7/Quantum 3 (Korea), M54 (Asia and Latin America), F54 and F56 (India), F34 (India), and S23 FE (carrier-locked units in the U.S.).
  • Many recent One UI 8 builds, including the Watch 7 and several phones, carry the September 2025 security patch, reflecting Samsung’s staged regional release cadence.
