Overview

  • One UI 8 Watch based on Wear OS 6 is now reaching Galaxy Watch 7 units in the US after launching in Korea, with Verizon confirming releases for the 40mm and 44mm LTE models.
  • The Galaxy Watch 7 build (BYI4) includes the September 2025 security patch, is about 160MB for beta users and roughly 2GB for others, and adds Bedtime Guidance, Running Coach, Vascular Load, and the Now Bar.
  • Samsung pulled One UI 8 for the Galaxy S22 series from its update servers following last week’s release, with no stated cause; users already on One UI 8 cannot roll back and are awaiting a hotfix.
  • Stable One UI 8 phone updates expanded in waves: A33 and A53 (Korea), M34 and M35 (India), XCover7 Pro (Korea), Wide 7/M15 and Quantum 3/M53 (Korea), and M54 across Asia and Latin America, often with September’s patch and 2–2.4GB downloads.
  • Phone builds highlight UI and app refinements such as a full-screen Quick Share with send/receive tabs, updated Samsung Internet and Weather, expanded Modes and Routines, DeX on Android 16 Desktop Mode, and Gallery audio noise removal.
