Overview
- Samsung revealed the Galaxy Z Fold7, Z Flip7 and entry-level Flip7 FE at its July 9 Galaxy Unpacked event in New York, highlighting thinner form factors and AI-powered One UI 8 enhancements.
- The Galaxy Z Fold7 features an 8-inch QXGA+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X main display, Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy processor and 200-megapixel camera in a 4.2 mm thin chassis that forgoes S Pen support.
- The Z Flip7 runs on Samsung’s Exynos 2500 chipset with a 6.9-inch FHD+ inner screen and a 4.1-inch Super AMOLED cover display, while the Flip7 FE offers a 6.7-inch inner panel, 3.4-inch outer screen and Exynos 2400 at a lower price point.
- In India, pricing starts at Rs 1,74,999 for the Fold7, Rs 1,09,999 for the Flip7 and Rs 89,999 for the Flip7 FE, with pre-order incentives including free storage upgrades and No Cost EMI options.
- Samsung Mobile chief Roh Tae-moon confirmed in a post-launch briefing that the company is on track to introduce its first tri-fold smartphone by the end of 2025.
