Samsung to Release XR Headset Developer Version in October

The full consumer launch of the mixed reality device is expected in early 2025, positioning it as a competitor to Apple's Vision Pro.

Samsung's XR headset, codenamed 'Moohan', will feature Google's Android XR software and Qualcomm's Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2 chipset.
The device will include advanced features like OLED screens, hand and eye tracking, and eight tracking cameras.
Initial plans for a 2024 launch were delayed to refine the technology, pushing the consumer release to March 2025.
Samsung's entry into the XR market follows its previous foray into VR with the Gear VR, expanding its presence in augmented and mixed reality.
The headset aims to compete with existing products from Apple and Meta, with Samsung Display providing the OLED on Silicon displays.
