Overview

  • Samsung’s policy will remove any account not used for 24 months at 11:59 PM UTC on July 31, 2025.
  • Samsung sent warning emails to registered addresses, but users whose associated email accounts are inactive may not receive a notification.
  • Once an account is deleted, all associated services and data—including Samsung Cloud, SmartThings, and Samsung Pay—will be permanently erased and irretrievable.
  • To preserve their accounts, users need only sign in or use any Samsung service linked to the account before the deadline.
  • The policy mirrors a Google initiative from December 2023 and forms part of Samsung’s broader effort to protect user information.
