Reports from SamMobile and Android Headlines say Samsung is testing a large redesign of the SmartThings Android app that adopts One UI 9 visual language.
The Home tab will gain dynamic backgrounds that change by time of day and by user location, nine preloaded live wallpapers, and the option to use custom images.
A new SmartThings Now card will surface suggestions for features users have not tried and can be turned on or off to improve discovery.
The interface adds a pill-shaped floating tab bar with five sections and offers three home‑screen widgets for device control and routines, while the Devices tab itself appears largely unchanged.
