Samsung Rolls Out Stable One UI 8 to Galaxy Z Fold6, Flip6 and Fold Special Edition in South Korea

Beta users receive the Android 16 build first as smaller downloads, with a wider rollout to follow.

  • The Fold6 and Flip6 updates carry firmware versions F956NKSU2CYI7 and F741NKSU2CYI6 respectively, arriving first for One UI 8 beta participants as roughly 600MB packages before ~4GB public OTAs.
  • The Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition is also receiving One UI 8.0 in Korea with firmware F958NKSU2CYI7.
  • One UI 8 introduces redesigned core apps, a hardened Secure Folder, improved Samsung DeX based on Android 16’s Desktop Mode, and Galaxy AI additions such as AI Select and Audio Eraser.
  • Samsung’s Now Brief is expanding to these foldables, surfacing time‑relevant cards like weather, calendar items, suggested media, memories, news suggestions, and an Energy Score.
  • GSMArena notes the September 2025 security patch is included, and SamMobile reports development of One UI 8.5 has started for future devices, with the Fold 7 likely first and the S26 expected to ship with it.
