Overview

  • The Voice Phishing Suspected Call Alert is now live in the One UI 8 Phone app for Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 users in South Korea.
  • AI models trained on data from Korea’s National Police Agency and the National Institute of Scientific Investigation scan outgoing calls to unsaved numbers entirely on-device.
  • When a potential scam is identified, users receive real-time popups, sound and vibration alerts and see “suspected” or “detected” labels in their call history.
  • All detection processing occurs locally to preserve user privacy and provide immediate protection without relying on cloud servers.
  • Samsung plans to expand the feature to additional Galaxy models and roll it out to more regions in the coming months.
