Overview
- Samsung revealed the Galaxy Watch8 and Watch8 Classic at its July 9 Unpacked event in New York, reviving the physical rotating bezel and introducing the squircle “cushion” design on its slimmest smartwatches yet.
- Pricing starts at $350 for the Bluetooth Galaxy Watch8 and goes up to $550 for the LTE Classic, with pre-orders live now and U.S. availability slated for July 25.
- Both watches feature Super AMOLED displays with peak brightness of 3,000 nits and are powered by the new Exynos W1000 chipset.
- They ship with One UI 8 Watch on Wear OS 6 and are the first Samsung smartwatches to include Google’s Gemini AI assistant for voice-driven commands and multitasking.
- New health-tracking capabilities include Bedtime Guidance, Vascular Load, a Running Coach and an Antioxidant Index sensor via Samsung’s BioActive sensor.
