Samsung Releases Stable One UI 8 (Android 16) to Galaxy Z Fold 6, Flip 6 and Fold SE in Korea

The release begins in South Korea for beta users, with a broader rollout expected soon.

  • The stable update is seeding first to One UI 8 beta participants on the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 in South Korea and arrived earlier than Samsung’s posted schedule.
  • Firmware builds are F956NKSU2CYI7 for the Fold 6 and F741NKSU2CYI6 for the Flip 6, and both include the September 2025 Android security patch.
  • Download sizes are roughly 600MB for beta users, with full over-the-air packages for the general rollout expected to be about 4GB.
  • One UI 8 adds redesigned core apps, a hardened Secure Folder, improved Samsung DeX based on Android 16’s Desktop Mode, a 90:10 split‑screen option, Now Bar support, AI Select, Audio Eraser, a new camera control swipe, and the Now Brief experience on supported foldables.
  • Samsung also released One UI 8 for the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition in Korea with firmware F958NKSU2CYI7 and has begun developing One UI 8.5 for upcoming devices, according to SamMobile.
