Samsung Pushes One UI 8 to S23, Fold5/Flip5, Tab S10 and A‑Series as Fold SE Update Is Pulled

Samsung moved up its schedule, starting in Korea with staged releases for beta users versus full public OTAs.

Overview

  • The stable Android 16–based update began in South Korea for the Galaxy S23 lineup including FE, Z Fold5 and Z Flip5, Tab S10+ and S10 Ultra, and the A35 and A55, and Samsung has already released the A36 build in Europe and Turkey.
  • The wave arrived earlier than official regional timelines such as Samsung Brazil’s October 2 window for the S23 series, Fold5/Flip5 and A55.
  • Samsung withdrew the Galaxy Z Fold SE build after users reported touch‑input failures on One UI 8, with the rollout paused for that model.
  • Beta participants are receiving smaller 420–470MB deltas while non‑beta users see ~3GB full OTAs, with early firmware such as S91xNKSU6EYI7 on S23 and F946NKSU5FYI8 on Fold5.
  • Key additions include a revamped DeX built on Android 16’s Desktop Mode, a more secure Secure Folder, a redesigned Samsung Internet, an updated Quick Share, and refinements across core apps and productivity tools.
