Samsung Pushes One UI 8 Global Rollout, With Galaxy S22’s Final Android Upgrade Now Live

A stepped rollout is bringing Android 16 features to a broad mix of Galaxy devices in more regions this week.

Overview

  • Galaxy A54 is receiving Android 16-based One UI 8 across Asia, Europe and Latin America (A546BXXUFEYI4/A546EXXUFEYI4), a ~2.3GB download that includes the September 2025 security patch.
  • Galaxy A34’s update has gone international across Africa, Asia and Europe (A346EXXUAEY17), roughly 2.3GB with the September 2025 patch.
  • Foldables and tablets expand: Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Z Fold 4 are updating in Africa, Asia and Europe with the October 2025 patch, Z Flip 5 and Z Fold 5 updates are live for US carrier models, and Tab S10+ and Tab S10 Ultra have started updating in India, the UK and the US.
  • Galaxy S22, S22+ and S22 Ultra have begun receiving their fourth and final major OS update in Europe and India (S90xBXXUIGYI7/S90xEXXUCGYIF) at around 3.1–3.2GB, with security patches to continue and One UI 8.5 eligibility uncertain.
  • One UI 8 adds a redesigned Quick Share and Samsung Internet, an upgraded DeX built on Android 16’s Desktop Mode, stronger Secure Folder and new Modes & Routines actions, while One UI 8.5 is reportedly in testing on Android 16 QPR2 with a beta targeted for late November.
