Samsung Pushes June 2026 Security Patch to Multiple Galaxy Models
Fixing 45 vulnerabilities including five critical flaws, the update precedes Samsung’s expected One UI 9.0 stable release for new foldables next month.
Overview
- Samsung began staged rollouts of the June 2026 Android security update on Thursday, initially deploying it in South Korea for the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Flip 6 and the Galaxy A37.
- The patch addresses 45 vulnerabilities in total—33 from Google and 12 from Samsung—with five rated critical and download sizes generally around 300–400MB depending on model.
- Samsung released device-specific firmware identifiers in Korea, including F95xNKSS4DZF3 for the Z Fold 6, F741NKSS4DZF3 for the Z Flip 6, and A376EXXS3AZF6 for the A37, and the company will expand the update to other regions in stages.
- The June release is security-only and does not add recent features like File Summaries or Notification Highlights to affected phones, with visible UI changes reserved for the forthcoming One UI 9.0 update.
- Samsung is actively developing One UI 9.0 on Android 17 for a wider device set—firmware for S24 and Z Fold 7 has been spotted—and the stable version is expected to debut with the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Z Flip 8 before rolling out to older eligible models.
