Samsung Partners with Tesla and Hyundai for Smart Home and EV Controls

Integration of Samsung's SmartThings platform with Tesla and Hyundai vehicles aims to enhance home energy management and vehicle automation.

Samsung has announced partnerships with Tesla and Hyundai to expand its SmartThings platform into home energy and vehicle/home automation.
Owners of Tesla's EVs and products like Powerwall and Solar Inverter will be able to monitor and control their homes using Samsung's SmartThings Energy app.
Hyundai's EVs and other vehicles will be integrated with the SmartThings platform, allowing 'Home-to-Car' and 'Car-to-Home' services.
Users will be able to control home appliances and vehicle functions from either their car or home, and create routines for energy usage and vehicle charging.
The new features are still under development, with a wider release expected in the second quarter of 2024.
