Overview

  • The Android 16-based One UI 8 beta is live in the US, UK, Germany and South Korea for Galaxy S25, S25+ and S25 Ultra models via the Samsung Members app.
  • One UI 8 enhances multimodal AI with features such as Now Bar and Now Brief that offer more personalized, context-aware suggestions on device.
  • Samsung has overhauled the Reminder app with preset templates and voice input, updated Quick Share for one-tap file transfers, and added Auracast support for shared audio streams.
  • The roughly 3.4 GB OTA beta requires a device backup before installation and currently excludes Galaxy S25 Edge models from participation.
  • The stable One UI 8 release is slated to debut on the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold7 and Flip7 later this summer and expand to other Galaxy devices through 2025.
