Overview

  • The One UI 8 beta, built on Android 16 in collaboration with Google, is now available for Galaxy S25, S25+ and S25 Ultra users in the US, UK, Germany, South Korea and India.
  • Testers can enrol through the Samsung Members app to download the update after backing up their data, as beta software may contain bugs.
  • Multimodal AI features analyse on-screen content in real time to offer context-aware suggestions via new Now Bar and Now Brief tools.
  • The Reminder app gains preset templates and voice input, Quick Share adds one-tap transfers, and Android 16’s Auracast enables shared audio streams for hearing aids and earbuds.
  • Samsung Knox Vault isolates sensitive data with a dedicated security processor and the stable One UI 8 release is scheduled to ship on the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Flip7 later this summer.
