Overview

  • Samsung opened the One UI 8 beta via the Samsung Members app for Galaxy S25, S25+ and S25 Ultra users in Germany, South Korea, the UK and the US.
  • Built on Android 16 in partnership with Google, One UI 8 introduces multimodal AI that analyzes on-screen content to provide context-aware suggestions.
  • New tools include Auracast-enabled audio sharing via QR codes, a redesigned Reminder app and streamlined Quick Share for one-tap file transfers.
  • Privacy enhancements let users choose on-device AI processing and benefit from Samsung Knox Vault’s secure enclave for sensitive data.
  • Samsung confirmed that One UI 8 will debut on the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Flip7 this summer and roll out to more Galaxy devices in the coming months.
