Overview
- The Fan Edition earbuds are priced at $149.99 (€149), ship in Black or Gray, and land in the U.S. on September 4 with select markets following September 4–5, alongside a $30 trade-in credit.
- The buds adopt Samsung’s stemmed “blade” design with a matte finish, pinch and swipe controls on the stem, IP54 dust and splash resistance, and a case with a semi-transparent lid and pairing button.
- Each earbud uses an 11 mm single dynamic driver and is rated for up to 6 hours of playback with ANC on (24 with the case) or 8.5 hours with ANC off (30 with the case), with ANC reduction around 32 dB and clearer calls from a six-microphone array positioned closer to the mouth.
- Hands-free Gemini access via the “Hey Google” command and Galaxy AI’s Interpreter enable voice assistance and real-time translation, though many AI capabilities require compatible recent Galaxy phones and software.
- To reach the lower price, Buds 3 FE omit some Buds 3 Pro hardware such as a dual-driver setup, the SSC UHQ high‑res codec, Qi wireless charging for the case, a higher IP57 rating, and features like 360 Audio.
