Samsung Extends One UI 8 to U.S. Galaxy S23 FE and Budget Phones in India

The phased Android 16 rollout now reaches U.S. carrier S23 FE units plus budget models in India.

Overview

  • Carrier-locked Galaxy S23 FE units in the United States are receiving Android 16-based One UI 8 with firmware S711USQU6EYIF, and the download is reported to be under 3GB.
  • In India, the Galaxy A06 5G and Galaxy F17 5G are getting One UI 8 with builds A066BXXU3BYI8 and E176BXXU2BYID respectively.
  • The update refreshes Samsung core apps such as Health, Reminders, Routines, Internet, Calendar and Contacts, and expands Galaxy AI with more personalized suggestions.
  • New interface features include a lock-screen clock that wraps around subjects, the Now Bar for real-time app activity and media progress, plus creative tools like Drawing Assist and Writing Assist.
  • Samsung says the rollout remains staged by region and device, and SamMobile reports development of One UI 8.5 (Android 16 QPR2) is nearing completion.
