Samsung Extends December 2025 Security Update to Galaxy S23, Fold 6 and Flip 6, and Tab S9 FE

Overview

  • The Galaxy S23 series is now receiving the December 2025 patch in South Korea with firmware S91xNKSS6EYL1, with a wider rollout to follow in stages.
  • Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 builds are F956NKSS2CYKE and F741NKSS2CYKE respectively, with the update size reported at roughly 450MB.
  • Samsung is also pushing the update to the Galaxy Tab S9 FE in South Korea under firmware X510XXS9DYK1.
  • The patch includes 57 Android fixes, six rated critical, plus 11 Samsung-specific corrections addressing areas such as the bootloader, fingerprint system, image codec libraries, Dynamic Lockscreen, and the radio interface layer.
  • This is a security-only release with no new UI features, and users can check Settings > Software update > Download and install as availability varies by model, carrier, and region.
