Samsung Expands One UI 8 Rollout in Korea to Galaxy S24, Z Flip 6 and Z Fold 6

The phased release is moving beyond the S25 line in Korea with a wider global rollout expected soon.

Overview

  • Stable One UI 8 based on Android 16 is now reaching the Galaxy S24 lineup in South Korea, following deployments to the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Z Fold 6, with reports also noting the Galaxy A56.
  • Beta testers receive smaller delta packages of about 600 MB, while the full public over‑the‑air upgrade is roughly 4 GB and, on the foldables, includes the September 1, 2025 security patch.
  • Feature additions highlighted in coverage include Adaptive Clock, expanded Now Brief updates, Android 16’s Live Updates in the status bar, and stronger protection through Knox Enhanced Encrypted Protection (KEEP).
  • Samsung began the stable push on the Galaxy S25 series last week, and outlets report that updates for more models and regions should follow within days or weeks.
  • Separate leaks point to early One UI 8.5 development with pill‑style navigation, a more compact settings layout, automated call screening, and NFC‑assisted Quick Share, which remain unconfirmed.
