Samsung Expands One UI 8 Rollout as Galaxy Watch 7 Gets Wear OS 6 Update

Early availability in Korea signals a broader wave to follow in the coming days.

  • Samsung has started pushing One UI 8 Watch based on Wear OS 6 to the Galaxy Watch 7 in South Korea, carrying build BYI4 at about 2GB with the September 2025 security patch.
  • Beta testers on the Watch 7 are receiving a smaller package of roughly 160MB, with the full public over‑the‑air release expected to follow.
  • Stable One UI 8 (Android 16) also reached more phones in Korea today, including the Galaxy A53 (GYI2), Galaxy A33 (GYI3), Galaxy XCover 7 Pro (BYI6), and carrier variants of the M15/Wide 7 and M53/Quantum 3 with firmware endings CYI6 and GYI4.
  • In India, the Galaxy M35 and M34 are receiving One UI 8 in downloads around 2.3GB with the September 2025 patch, while the Galaxy A35 (A356EXXU5CYI8) and A54 (A546EXXUFEYI4) have stable builds rolling first to beta participants at roughly 270MB.
  • New watch features include Bedtime Guidance, Running Coach, Vascular Load, Antioxidant Index, the Now Bar, and multi‑widget Tiles, while phones gain DeX on Android 16’s Desktop Mode plus a redesigned Gallery with an Instant Audio Eraser and updated Samsung Internet.
