Samsung Expands Native-Language Support for Bixby and Galaxy AI

This change widens native-language voice control across Samsung phones, wearables, smart home devices.

Overview

  • Samsung announced on Wednesday, October 14, 2026 that Bixby will add Polish, Thai and Vietnamese, bringing Bixby to 12 languages with the new voice rollout starting immediately.
  • The majority of Galaxy AI functions now support 24 languages in total, with Call Assist, Note Assist, Interpreter and Transcript Assist adding Hungarian and Malay.
  • Now Nudge is gaining eight new languages — Hungarian, Dutch, Filipino, Gujarati, Malay, Romanian, Swedish and Turkish — though not every Galaxy AI tool gains every new language.
  • Samsung said Galaxy AI language updates will roll out regionally over the coming weeks and did not provide specific release dates, so feature availability will vary by region and device.
  • The expansions let more users operate devices and use AI tools like live translation, call summaries and note capture in their native tongues, which could increase adoption in markets including Poland, Thailand, Vietnam, Hungary and Malaysia.
