Overview

• The One UI 8 beta brings Samsung’s revamped DeX experience to the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 by leveraging Android 16’s native desktop mode
• External display settings now appear under a unified Connected Display menu instead of a dedicated DeX tab in Settings
• The app drawer shifts to vertical scrolling and the Exit DeX shortcut has been removed to simplify the interface
• DeX’s taskbar now mirrors docked apps from the phone home screen, signaling tighter integration with Android 16 QPR1 desktop features
• Additional quality-of-life changes include trimmed right-click menus, persistent UI elements during fullscreen video and removal of the “Pin” app option
