Samsung says the Exynos 2500 offers 39 percent faster on-device AI performance

Overview

  • Samsung’s Exynos 2500 is in mass production as the company’s first chipset built on 3nm Gate All Around process technology.
  • The 10-core tri-cluster CPU delivers up to 15 percent faster performance than the Exynos 2400 and uses fan-out wafer-level packaging for improved heat dissipation and power efficiency.
  • An integrated Xclipse 950 GPU based on AMD’s RDNA3 architecture provides hardware-accelerated ray tracing and up to 28 percent faster frame rates in games.
  • The NPU reaches 59 TOPS for on-device AI workloads, a 39 percent uplift over its predecessor, and the SoC supports up to a 320 MP camera sensor and 8K/30 fps video recording.
  • Connectivity features include 5G download speeds up to 12.1 Gbps, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4 and LEO satellite link support, with Samsung reserving Exynos 2500 for Korean Galaxy Z Flip7 units under a dual-chip strategy.
