Samsung Brings Internet Browser to Windows in Beta With Galaxy AI and Cross-Device Sync

A limited USKorea beta showcases Samsung’s push to make the browser a gateway to ambient Galaxy AI across devices.

Overview

  • The beta is live from October 30 for Windows 11 and Windows 10 (version 1809 or later), with support for ARM-based PCs in the United States and South Korea.
  • Galaxy AI’s Browsing Assist offers on-page webpage summaries and translations inside the desktop app.
  • Signing into a Samsung account enables syncing of bookmarks, history and Samsung Pass passwords, with the option to resume browsing sessions across phone and PC.
  • Privacy features include Smart anti-tracking, a Privacy Dashboard, Secret mode and a built-in ad-blocker, plus support for Chrome Web Store extensions and a Split view layout.
  • Enrollment runs through Samsung’s Developer Portal rather than the Microsoft Store, and the company frames this release as the first step toward broader ambient-AI capabilities following a short-lived 2023 Windows launch.
