  • Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has announced plans for the six-lane, 805-km Shaktipeeth Expressway at an estimated cost of ₹86,000 crore to link a dozen pilgrimage sites across 12 districts.
  • The proposed greenfield corridor will feature 48 major bridges, 30 tunnels, eight railway crossings and 26 interchanges and will carry gas pipelines and solar infrastructure to boost regional industry and tourism.
