Sammy Hagar, at age 77, has announced he no longer plans to embark on traditional tours due to the physical demands of constant travel.
The former Van Halen frontman will focus on a Las Vegas residency at Dolby Live at Park MGM, starting April 30 and running through May 17, 2025.
Hagar sees the residency format as a way to continue performing without the exhaustion of packing, traveling, and daily flights.
The residency will feature hits from his extensive career, including Van Halen classics and solo tracks, alongside a new song titled 'Thank You,' co-written with Joe Satriani.
Hagar emphasized his desire to leave audiences with a positive and uplifting experience during these performances, which could lead to additional residencies in the future.
