• On June 23, Sami Sheen announced via Instagram Stories that she will undergo surgery to remove her breast implants after attributing nearly two years of health issues to breast implant illness.
• Sheen has reported a range of symptoms including chronic fatigue, hair loss, acne, headaches, brain fog, vertigo, joint pain and severe anxiety that she believes stem from her silicone implants.
• Medical experts at the Cleveland Clinic and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration do not recognize breast implant illness as an official diagnosis, although removal is regarded as the most effective long-term remedy.
• The 21-year-old daughter of Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards received her breast implants in 2022 and had considered enlarging them earlier this year before reversing course.
• Sheen is now seeking recommendations for a qualified Los Angeles explant surgeon and has cautioned that reverting to her pre-augmentation size will present both physical and mental challenges.
