Overview
- The residency spans Feb. 10–21 across eight shows at the 103-year-old venue in the Castro district.
- Titled “To Be Free: San Francisco,” the run echoes Smith’s latest single and marks the theater’s first programming since early 2024.
- The theater returns after a two-year renovation with restored ceiling artwork, a reinstalled chandelier, upgraded HVAC and AV systems, added restrooms, and expanded ADA access.
- The orchestra seats were removed and the raked floor was flattened for motorized seating platforms approved by the Board of Supervisors and the Historic Preservation Commission to allow flexible film and standing events.
- Another Planet Entertainment, which has managed the venue since 2022, set on-sale for 10 a.m. on Oct. 7 via Ticketmaster and projects more than 200,000 annual visitors.
