Salt Life to Close All Retail Stores Following Bankruptcy Sale

New owners Hilco and Iconix plan to shift the brand's focus to wholesale and e-commerce.

All 28 Salt Life retail locations will close, with liquidation sales offering up to 40% off merchandise.
Delta Apparel Inc. filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in June, leading to the brand's acquisition by Hilco Consumer-Retail Group and Iconix International for $38.74 million.
Salt Life gift cards and returns for purchases made before Sept. 20, 2024, will be accepted until Oct. 20, 2024.
The liquidation includes not only product stock but also store fixtures and equipment.
Salt Life Food Shack restaurants remain unaffected by the bankruptcy and store closures.
