Overview

• Painting and finish work are complete in the celestial room and sealing rooms, including restored ceiling and wall treatments and bas‑relief wallpaper, with historically inspired green, blue, and yellow palettes in the north addition.
• Sealing rooms and the bride’s suite now feature late‑1800s‑style chandeliers, with the suite also gaining wall sconces and painted ceiling medallions to reflect its original appearance.
• The temple’s large assembly room is receiving finishing touches, with parquet wood flooring installed and all four spiral staircases refurbished, as the balcony area nears completion.
• Exterior progress includes stonework on two new entrance buildings designed to serve as gathering and waiting areas, alongside a new walking space with planters to improve access.
• Most of Temple Square is open to visitors, though areas directly north and south of the temple and the Beehive and Lion Houses remain closed, and a public open house is set for April through October 2027 with attendance projected above 3 million.
