Overview

• Painting and finish work are now complete in the celestial room and several sealing rooms, including restored ceiling and wall treatments and new bas‑relief wallpaper.
• Sealing rooms feature chandeliers modeled on late‑1800s fixtures, while the bride’s suite now has new chandeliers, wall sconces and painted ceiling medallions reflecting its original look.
• The temple’s large assembly room is receiving finishing touches with parquet flooring installed, four spiral staircases refurbished and the balcony area nearing completion.
• Exterior stonework is advancing on two new entrance buildings, and a newly added walking area with planters will serve as a gathering and waiting space for guests and patrons.
• Most of Temple Square is open to visitors, though areas directly north and south of the temple and nearby historic sites such as the Beehive House and Lion House remain closed for ongoing work.
