Salt Lake City Airport Unveils 10 New Gates and Two Major Lounges in Concourse B

The additions relieve chronic crowding at a hub nearing completion in 2026.

Overview

  • The latest phase of The New SLC opened 10 Concourse B gates, six concessions and two member lounges, marking the redevelopment’s last stretch.
  • Delta introduced a nearly 34,000-square-foot Sky Club with 600 seats, the second largest in its network, featuring airfield views, a wrap-around bar, nine phone booths and a Dirty Soda station.
  • American Express opened its first Centurion Lounge at SLC at about 18,000 square feet with a hearth room, an outdoor terrace facing the Wasatch Mountains, a recovery room and shower suites.
  • Many travelers can access both lounges with an Amex Platinum or Delta Reserve card, though Sky Club entry also requires a same-day qualifying Delta boarding pass that is not Main Basic.
  • The new gates support Delta and Southwest operations now, with the final 11 Concourse B gates targeted for October 2026 as the airport weighs further expansion.
