  • The recalled eggs were distributed to grocery and food-service outlets in California and Nevada from June 16 to July 9 and carry sell-by dates from July 1 through mid-September 2025.
  • Cartons were sold under Nagatoshi Produce, Misuho/Mishuo, Nijiya Markets and Country Eggs brands with code CA 7695; consumers are advised to throw them away or return them and sanitize surfaces.
  • At least 95 illnesses and 18 hospitalizations have been reported with no deaths, including 73 cases in California and additional cases in 13 other states.
  • Los Angeles County investigators linked two Chubby Cattle restaurant locations to the outbreak, and officials caution the true case count may be higher as reporting continues.
