• In the 25th‑anniversary ceremony, the town inaugurated Calle Irene y José Ángel and unveiled a plaque with their photographs after a memorial Mass and floral offering.
• Relatives were joined by commanders of the Guardia Civil, Aragón officials, the Spanish Government’s delegate and representatives of the French Gendarmerie.
• Irene Fernández Perera, 32, and José Ángel de Jesús, 22, were killed on August 20, 2000 by a bomb placed under their patrol vehicle.
