Saints' Derek Carr in Concussion Protocol, Uncertain for Panthers Game

Jameis Winston likely to start if Carr is sidelined, as multiple Saints players miss practice.

Derek Carr, the quarterback for the New Orleans Saints, is currently in concussion protocol and also dealing with rib and shoulder injuries.
Carr's status for the upcoming game against the Carolina Panthers is uncertain, as he needs to be cleared by an independent neurologist.
If Carr is unable to play, Jameis Winston is likely to start in his place.
Along with Carr, more than half a dozen Saints players, including Taysom Hill, did not participate in recent practice.
The Saints have also placed safety Marcus Maye and defensive tackle Malcolm Roach on injured reserve.
