  • The remains of Saint Teresa of Jesús are on public display in the Basilica of the Annunciation in Alba de Tormes from May 11 to May 25, 2025.
  • This is the first public exposition of her relics in 111 years and only the fourth in history, following events in 1582, 1760, and 1914.
  • The opening ceremony included a symbolic handover of the basilica keys by Mayor Concepción Miguélez to Bishop José Luis Retana, who then opened the doors.
  • High-ranking officials, including the President of Castilla y León and the Bishop of Salamanca, were among the first to venerate the relics.
  • Pilgrims from Spain and abroad are expected to visit, with a special procession featuring Saint Teresa's image planned for May 24.
