Sainsbury’s Lets Shoppers Earn Nectar Points on Uber Eats Orders

The partnership ties Sainsbury’s grocery purchases on Uber Eats to Nectar collection, creating a new rewarded route for rapid-delivery shoppers.

Overview

  • Sainsbury’s and Uber Eats expanded their Nectar partnership on Wednesday so customers can collect one Nectar point for every £1 spent on eligible Sainsbury’s items ordered through the Uber Eats app or website.
  • To earn points shoppers must enter their full Nectar card number at checkout, meet a minimum £1 spend, and note that points cannot be added after the order is placed.
  • Qualifying points will appear in customers’ Nectar accounts within 28 days and the scheme excludes items such as gift vouchers, baby milk, lottery tickets, tobacco, vapes, certain medicines and some spirits.
  • The offer is live at more than 1,300 participating Sainsbury’s stores across the UK, with additional alcohol restrictions that apply in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
  • The change builds on Nectar’s existing ties with Uber, letting customers collect points on rapid-delivery grocery buys and later spend them on Uber or Uber Eats vouchers, a shift that could steer more last‑minute shopping toward delivery apps.
