Overview
- Sainsbury’s and Uber Eats have enabled Nectar point collection on eligible Sainsbury’s grocery orders placed through the Uber Eats app or website at a rate of one point per £1 spent.
- To receive points customers must enter their full Nectar card number at checkout, meet a minimum spend of £1, and note that points cannot be added retrospectively.
- Qualifying points are credited to Nectar accounts within 28 days and the new collection option is live at more than 1,300 participating Sainsbury’s stores across the UK.
- Several product groups are excluded from earning points, including gift vouchers, baby milk, lottery tickets, tobacco, vapes, many medicines, and certain alcohol products with extra restrictions in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
- The change builds on the existing Nectar–Uber relationship that already lets members turn points into Uber or Uber Eats vouchers and could make rapid grocery delivery more attractive for shoppers seeking convenience and value.
