Overview
- The foundation ceremony marked the start of Phase 1 works covering a 15.22 km viaduct with 15 stations, a 1.85 km spur to the Dwarka Expressway, and a ramp to a proposed depot in Sector 33.
- Gurugram Metro Rail Limited, a state–central special purpose vehicle, will execute the project with Haryana Mass Rapid Transport Corporation Limited as the implementation agency.
- The line will loop from Millennium City Centre (HUDA City Centre) to Cyber City at Moulsari Avenue, covering key areas of old Gurugram with an interchange to the existing DMRC network.
- Union minister Manohar Lal Khattar cited a project cost of about ₹5,600 crore and announced 10,000 concessional buses nationwide, including 450 for Haryana and 100 for Gurugram.
