• Union Steel Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy inaugurated the office today alongside SAIL chairman Amarendu Prakash and Consul General Satish Kumar Sivan.
• The Dubai representative office will act as SAIL’s gateway to Middle Eastern and North African markets with the aim of boosting exports and forging industry partnerships.
• SAIL’s launch comes shortly after NMDC and MECON opened their own Dubai outposts this week under the Ministry of Steel’s globalisation push.
• SAIL posted a 16.5% jump in Q4 net profit to Rs 1,178 crore and a 4.9% rise in revenue to Rs 29,316 crore, underpinning its expansion strategy.
• The expansion aligns with India’s broader goal of reaching 300 million tonnes of steel production by 2030.
