Sacramento Man Charged with Abusive Sexual Contact on SFO-Bound Flight

Rajesh Kumar Kapoor faces up to two years in prison and a $250,000 fine if convicted.

Rajesh Kumar Kapoor, 56, was arrested and charged with abusive sexual contact of another passenger during a flight from South Korea to San Francisco.
The incident occurred on January 16 aboard United Flight 892, where Kapoor allegedly touched a victim's breasts and inner thigh without consent.
Kapoor made his initial court appearance on Monday and was released pending trial, with a next court date set for May 9.
The charges were announced by U.S. Attorney Ismail Ramsey and FBI Special Agent in Charge Robert K. Tripp.
The indictment is part of a series of United Airlines incidents, including turnarounds, emergency landings, and equipment failures.
