Sacramento Kings Sign Former No. 1 Pick Markelle Fultz

The Kings add Fultz to their roster after trading De'Aaron Fox, aiming to strengthen their playoff push.

Markelle Fultz, the 2017 NBA Draft's top pick, has agreed to a deal with the Sacramento Kings through the end of the season.
The 26-year-old guard averaged 7.8 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 2.8 assists in 43 games last season with the Orlando Magic, his lowest output during his five seasons with the team.
Fultz has been rehabbing from an offseason injury but is now reportedly healthy and ready to contribute to the Kings' lineup.
The Kings traded star point guard De'Aaron Fox to the San Antonio Spurs earlier this month, leaving a need for depth at the position.
Sacramento, currently in ninth place in the Western Conference, has won three consecutive games and is vying for a play-in tournament spot under interim coach Doug Christie.
