Overview

  • Sachsenmilch Leppersdorf GmbH initiated the recall after a technical error raised the risk of mold in the cherry fruit preparation of its Unser Grießdessert.
  • Only batch number SNL011217:331 with a use-by date of June 27, 2025, and units shipped between May 23 and June 4, 2025, are affected.
  • The recall encompasses products sold through chains including Rewe, Edeka, Kaufland, Penny, Netto, Metro, Globus, Selgros and HIT and distributed across at least ten federal states.
  • The Bundesinstitut für Risikobewertung warns that ingesting mold-contaminated dessert can cause vomiting, diarrhea and more serious liver or kidney damage.
  • Consumers may return the affected cups to any retailer for a full refund without presenting a purchase receipt.
