Sabrina Ionescu Joins Unrivaled League in Historic Deal

The WNBA champion and Olympic gold medalist will play for Phantom BC in the inaugural season of the 3-on-3 women's basketball league starting January 17.

Sabrina Ionescu, the final addition to the Unrivaled roster, will join Phantom BC alongside Brittney Griner, Satou Sabally, and other prominent players.
The Unrivaled league, co-founded by Breanna Stewart and Napheesa Collier, offers players equity stakes and the highest average pay in women's sports.
Ionescu recently underwent surgery to repair a thumb injury sustained during the WNBA Finals but is expected to be ready for the league's debut next month.
The 27-year-old guard had a standout 2024, winning a WNBA championship with the New York Liberty and earning an Olympic gold medal with Team USA.
Unrivaled's inaugural season will run for nine weeks in Miami, featuring six teams playing competitive 3-on-3 games three times a week.
